How long will my hair system last?
It depends on many factors. Your lifestyle, work environment, physical activity even health issues. Most pre-made hair systems are made for appearance and tend to look great but don’t last as long - anywhere from 4 weeks to 4 months. With a custom system you can expect much more longevity out of your system.

Does “Freestyle” mean I can style my hair any way I choose or that I can change my hair style to a different style?
Freestyle is one method of directional ventilation (sewing in the hair to the base) that is frequently requested.  However, it doesn’t necessarily mean you can style it any way. While it is more versatile than other ventilation styles there are advantages to ordering a definite style in your system.  For example, if you always wear your hair combed from left to right and you order your hair system this way (Left Break) your hair will always lay in the correct direction. You will never have to fight to get it to go left to right but if you decide to change your hair style to go from right to left, you will have to try to re-direct the hair at the base. This will definitely cause the hair to weaken at the base and break off from the base. While it is nice to think that we will have the flexibility to change our hair style the reality is that most of us never do. With Freestyle ventilation the hair is tied into the base going forward and it has no definite crown.

Do you have the popular “Breathable Skin” base?
Skin does not breathe regardless of whether it’s the skin on your body or the Polyurethane that is commonly used for “Skin” systems. Polyurethane is another name for a type of plastic and plastic does not allow the transfer of air in and out. Some “Breathable Skin” bases have small hair holes to allow a certain amount of ventilation of the scalp but it does not breathe. We recommend that these bases be worn semi-permanently and should be completely grafted or bonded to the entire balding area. We also have Silicone base materials that still do not breathe but do have the ability to take on the body’s temperature and do not cause the scalp to sweat and the perspiration to “puddle” under the base.

Can I get my system made with “European” hair? I hear that’s the best.
It certainly is the best…if you can find it. Most hair that is being sold as “European” hair is actually Indian hair that may be color processed but has its cuticle (the protective outer layer of the hair shaft) intact. This is very nice hair but it’s not European hair. We recommend that hair wearers go with standard processed hair for their hair pieces. You will have the look and feel you want but without the difficulties connected with hair that has cuticle on it. Besides having to deal with excessive tangling and matting, European hair is also very cost prohibitive. True European hair would cost the manufacturer anywhere from $200.00 to $500.00 for enough hair to make one top of the head size hair system that does not include the actual production of the system and his mark up. Now imagine what you would be paying for True European hair?

Why do some of your Stock Systems take 4-6 weeks for shipping?
Although we have an inventory of over 500 Stock Hair Replacement Systems that are available for shipment within 24 hours, we do not always have every model in stock. Any Stock Systems marked as "available in 4-6 weeks" are not currently in stock. You can still order them at no extra cost and once we recieve the order we will immediately contact our manufacturer and get production started on your stock system. 4-6 weeks is the average amount of time it takes to have a stock system produced.
