What is NextGen Fiber?

HN NextGen Fiber is a revolutionary new type of synthetic hair offering the highest performance ever. This means enhanced appearance and incredible durability. You may be familiar with a commercial product on the market known as Cyberhair. This is not Cyberhair but a very similar product with many of the same benefits that Cyberhair has to offer, and additional features not found in Cyberhair units.

What does this mean to you? No flat hair, style integrity, durability, a soft feel and touch and the ability to use heat styling tools on your hair system. It also means you can now get a system with hair that will last longer than the base with no fading and virtually no frizzing.

Like Cyberhair, NextGen Fiber offers durability - NextGen Fiber is strong and is almost impossible to break at the base with repeated styling like human hair and typical synthetic fibers.

NextGen Fiber has excellent curl retention. This means your hair style stays in tact even after a hot shower or sauna. And the good news is that you can even change your style with NextGen Fiber because even though it has high curl retention, you can change the curl pattern using conventional styling tools or blow drying. You can’t do that with Cyberhair.

Finally, NextGen Fiber offers great color retention. No more red hair - unless of course you’re a red head. The dye materials used for NextGen Fiber of top quality and in the process of dying the fiber techniques are integrated to assure long lasting natural color.

So what are the differences between Cyberhair, NextGen Fiber, Modacrylic Synthetic Fiber and Processed Human Hair? Cyberhair, NextGen Fiber and Modacrylic Synthetic Fiber are all man-made. Cyberhair is a Nylon fiber, NextGen Fiber is a Polyester fiber and well Modacrylic is just that - similar to the fibers used in carpet, tooth brushes and most other synthetic fiber items. Cyberhair and NextGen Fiber were both designed specifically for the hair replacement industry as the quality of Modacrylics have decreased and manufacturers can make more money using their fibers for more commonly used applications than hair goods.

Now Processed Human Hair is a completely different animal as it is a natural product which automatically comes with downsides. Human hair in the hair replacement industry is inconsistent in quality. Almost all of the hair used in hair piece production is processed human hair. There is very little “Virgin” human hair available in the market today. Be wary of the following marketing words when shopping for hair goods: Virgin Hair - European Hair - Russian Hair - Remy Hair - Cuticle Hair - etc, etc. The reality is that 99% of human hair used in production today is of Indian and Chinese origin and is processed for reduction of the hair cuticle for use in making hair pieces, wigs and hair extensions. Due to the nature of hair processing the quality of the human hair is diminished to a certain degree but many manufactures are utilizing products that help to assure the integrity of the human hair to the best of their ability. No one wants to produce products with poor quality materials, it’s not good business but the reality is that human hair has the least amount of product integrity of all the materials available for hair piece production. It is still however, the most common material choice for hair pieces.

With the introduction of NextGen Fiber to our custom production, we have made a few suggestions when ordering.

If you’re currently wearing a Cyberhair system and are comfortable with the care and maintenance of the product, we suggest you give our NextGen Fiber a try at Full Strength.

If you’re currently wearing a Modacrylic Synthetic fiber system, we would recommend our 70/30 blend. That would be 70% Synthetic Fiber and 30% NextGen Fiber. Why a smaller percentage of NextGen Fiber? It only takes a little to get a good result. The NextGen Fiber will help to buffer the day to day damage that Synthetic fiber can take. It will diminish the amount of frizzing and help to maintain the style integrity but you can still do your daily maintenance of your system the way you’re used to.

If you’re wearing Human Hair we would suggest a 50/50 Blend of Human hair and NextGen Fiber. This allows you to decrease the density of the system you order. NextGen Fiber gives the look and feel of more hair with less weight. It allows for the same styling routine you currently have and your system will dry faster and also maintain its style better.

NextGen Fiber is also a great alternative to Gray Human Hair - which can be costly and it’s definitely a great alternative to synthetic fiber as you can add it to a solid base color of human hair and it won’t frizz, turn orange or pink, and you can re-dye your systems human hair without effecting your gray percentage as it won’t take on the hair color.

And just so you know... NextGen Fiber is exclusively available through Hair-Necessities online. It is a specialty product with special production protocol. All NextGen Fiber systems are made with Absolute Single Hair Ventilation meaning the hair is tied into the base One hair at a time. It takes a little longer to get and costs a little more but you’ll find the end result is worth the wait and cost.
